Excellent music benefits the lives of both listeners and players.
I believe music should be passionately and creatively celebrated in safe and welcoming environments. My goal is to create such spaces where I can teach music and nurture new generations of performers.
While living and performing on the east coast I served as a woodwinds private lesson instructor and ensemble director at Rutgers University Community Arts (formerly Mason Gross Extension Division), the Rutgers Summer Jazz Institute, the Wardlaw+Hartridge School, and the Westerhoff School of Music and Art as well as maintained a robust private studio in Central NJ. At Rutgers I had the pleasure to work with the Rutgers Youth Jazz Ensemble, an audition-only large ensemble for secondary students; the Young Artist Program Saxophone Quartet, an elite classical quartet focused on learning advanced repertoire; and several small jazz combos. I am currently serving as a woodwinds instructor at Seattle JazzEd and maintain a private lessons studio online and in-person (COVID pandemic permitting) in Lake Stevens, WA.
Private lessons are a great way to develop your talents with an individualized approach tailored to fit your needs. In a private lesson we can explore your curiosity and dive into technique, improvisation, music theory, songwriting, recording/music production and so much more!
